Winter

This Wisconsin winter will not give up. And until the past week I had been tolerating it. However, for high schools, softball starts this week and my internal clock has been trained that it's now time to be outside. A little cold and rain is acceptable, but feet of remaining snow and wind chills below zero should be done. For those of you outside of Wisconsin, you may not realize how much snow we've gotten. We're on track to hit 100 inches!!! in one winter. For any of my mathematically challenged friends out there, that's more than 8 feet of snow. The old record was set in the winter of '78/'79 with 76.1 inches. The occasional warm (read 30-40 degrees) day has melted and frozen what's left into a solid mass of ice that seems determined to remain.
